Club championship rounds are to be held on the following club race meeting dates:

• 1st February - Round 1

• 1st March - Round 2

• 5th April - Round 3

• 3rd May - Round 4

• 7th June - Round 5

• 2nd August - Round 6

• 6th September - Round 7

• 4th October - Round 8

• 1st November - Round 9

• 6th December - Round 10

Class champions to be awarded:

• Junior 2wd Buggy Champion (highest Junior point scorer from either 2wd class)

• Junior 4wd Buggy Champion (highest Junior point scorer from either 4wd class)

• 2wd Stock Buggy Champion

• 4wd Stock Buggy Champion

• 2wd Modified Buggy Champion

• 4wd Modified Buggy Champion

Competitors must be a financial member of the club to be eligible to score points towards the club championship. If a competitor joins the club part way through the championship, the competitor will only be eligible to score points for rounds competed at after the date of becoming a club member (a grace period of up to 24 hours after the first round will be in effect for joining for the club).

Club day standard format:

• 2 x 5-minute qualifiers with fastest single qualifier (rocket round), counts towards finals starting position

• 3 x 5-minute A finals with best two results counting for overall finishing position for the event

Entry raffle prizes:

• 2 x 2wd Buggy Kits

• 2 x Smart TV + Wall Bracket

• Each club member gets one entry per club meeting

• Raffle to be drawn at the last club race meeting of the year to be held on 20th December 2026

 

Points system awarded on overall final finishing position per event:

• First Place = 60 points

• Second Place = 56 points

• Third Place = 52 points

• Fourth Place = 49 points

• Fifth Place = 47 points

• Sixth place = 45 points 

• Seventh Place = 44 points and subsequent positions less 1 point to Fiftieth Place and Beyond = 1 point

 

Bonus points per event:

• Top Qualifier = 2 points

• Hot Lap (for the day) = 1 point

• Grand Slam (TQ + Hot Lap + 1st for the event by single driver) = 2 points

• Bonus points awarded to TQ and Hot Lap driver only if achieved on the day. For example, if a non-member achieves TQ and/or Hot Lap for the day, no bonus points will be awarded for either or both

Competing points:

• Per round competed = 10 points (to be classed as competing, you must face the start of at least one qualifier or final to be eligible for these points)

Championship point score:

• Event points consist of finishing points + any bonus points awarded

• Best 8 of 10 events points count towards the championship

• All competing points awarded count towards the championship

• Class champion awarded to the competitor who scores the highest points

• Tie-breaks to be settled by the highest number of higher event finishing positions

• Any event cancelled due to rain etc. will not be re-run. Championship will then be shortened by a round and dropped event points will still be implemented as follows:

  • If only 9 events run, the best 7 rounds will count for event points

  • If only 8 events run, the best 6 rounds will count for event points

  • If only 7 events run, the best 5 rounds will count for event points

• If only 6 events run, the best 5 rounds will count for event points

• If only 5 events run, the best 4 rounds will count for event points

• If only 4 events run, the best 3 rounds will count for event points

• If only 3 events run, the best 3 rounds will count for event points

• If only 2 events run, the best 2 rounds will count for event points

• If only 1 event run, the best 1 round will count for event points.

• In all cases all competing points earned are to be counted to total championship points

 

• If a Junior wins one of the Open Club Championships, they are ineligible to also win the relative Junior division for that class. This is to encourage Juniors to be competing against similar skill levels and aimed to grow the junior participation and competition within the club.

• As we do not ask age of members when joining, to be included in the Junior Club Championship, please advise the club/race controller at time of entry if racer competing is under 16. If we have missed any Junior racers points, please message/email the club and we will mark the competitor as a Junior on the relative point score.

• The most important aspect of the Club Championship is for all those who compete to have fun. Whilst we are all competitive and we welcome healthy competition, please be respectful to all on/off track and enjoy your racing.
