Team Xray is the second most popular chassis of choice of those drivers who are entered for the 2025 Warm-up event and they have a very strong line up attending.
Whilst there is no international contingent travelling at this stage to Australia for the Warm-up event, leading the team is Ari Bakla. With almost countless Australian/State/Regional Championships across all RC classes and disciplines, Ari is one of the most successful racers Australia has ever produced. If the Big Dog of Australian RC hasn’t won it, it probably isn’t worth racing it.
Close on his heels is young gun and multiple title holder Matthew Couper. After having a hiatus for a few years, this third generation racer has a reinvigorated determination upon his return to make a run at the World Championships. Matthew’s preparation is looking good and with his raw speed only matched by a few, will be one to watch.
Another multiple Championship winner is Andrew Gillott making the switch to Team Xray this year. Whilst he is new to the cars, his progress has been fast and may well surprise a few of the current established stars with his pace and consistency he is known for.
Team Xray stalwart, Peter Seckold has been putting in the work and getting a handle on his new rides for 2025. Peter is another that has raw speed to burn and with a little consistency thrown in the mix, could be on for an upset if all goes his way.
Long time Hills Offroad member Ben Cribbin has been putting in the work of late utilising his engineering excellence to tailor the package to his liking and the speed is starting to show. With an ever the consistent style of racing, Ben is looking to continue his preparation on his road to competing in the World Championships and may just have a few of the drivers looking over there shoulder come finals time.
Further drivers ready to take on the filed with their Xray rides are Samuel Muffett, new recruit to the team Gavin Webb, Aden Young and Caden Hill whom are all ready to cause an upset if they get the opportunity and a sniff of a A final spot.
