Track Reopens 24th October
The wait is over and after the final few jobs have been completed today, the track will be reopened Saturday 24th October at 9am for use.
The direction of the track is now back to the clockwise direction as used and favoured by many for the 2WD portion of the 2025 IFMAR World Championships but with a couple of exciting tweaks.
First up in the now famous words of Ben Panic from the World Championships track walk, 'Cones are for traffic, not for tracks!' The infamous hip jump features a double inside pipe and no cones anywhere to be found. Jump cutting this section is now at your risk.
Secondly is the main jump rythm section features a triple-double combination now instead of the table top-double-double combo. With the first triple not for the faint of heart, get this right, and there is lap time to be made, get it wrong and you will be just left wondering when that marshall will get to you.
The surface is flat and expected to be slippery as it beds in, but the aim is for it to be prime for the 2026 running of the King of the Hills event. To defend the crown against the international onslaught, enter now https://www.hillsoffroadrc.com/king-of-the-hills
A huge thank you goes to all those that helped out to get the facility back to excellent condition for all to enjoy.
See you at the track.
