Event Format - IFMAR (with a twist of Madness)
* Best 2 of 3 - 5 minute qualifiers (dependent on total entry numbers, we may decide to run an extra round of qualifying if time permits)

* Finals 1 & 3 starting positions based off qualifying results

* The twist, final 2 starting positions are reverse grid based on qualifying result, and the Madness! This race will be completed in reverse track direction
* Best 2 of 3 - 5-minute finals

Event Timing - (timings are approximate and dependent on number of entries received)
* Open practice - 9am-12:15pm

* Check-in - 10am-12pm
* Qualifying - 12:30pm to 4:30pm
* Finals - 5pm-9pm

* Freestyle Competition - 9pm-9:30pm

 

Classes -
* 540 2WD Buggy - Handout Hobbywing Brushed Motor - HW30404313 (subsidised motor cost charged at time of entering with entry fee for the class). Open to any 2WD buggy, so bring along your vintage, retro or modern buggy and compete and recommended FDR is 5.4-5.6.
* 2WD Stadium Truck - Open motor
* Short Course Truck - Open motor (wind to be no lower wind than 10.5 turn brushless and if entry numbers permit, we may seperate 2WD & 4WD classes)

* Monster Truck - Open motor (wind to be no lower wind than 13.5 turn brushless)

If a particular class is low in numbers, it may be combined with another class to ensure all entrants are able to race

Trophies - (Trophies only supplied to classes with entry numbers over 8 entrants)

* Top Qualifier for each class

* Top 3 for each class

* Master of Madness (Freestyle Champion)

* Note there are no trophies being awarded for the Monster Truck class as this is aimed to be a fun event and was included late due to requests received.

Event Tyres - 
* 540 Buggy, rib or pin style front tyres and pin style rear tyres only to be used of any brand of tyre and inserts allowed

* Open tyre for both truck classes

​* Competitor to supply tyres, the club will not be selling tyres at the event

 

Entry Fee -
* First class - $30
* Second class - $20
* Third class - $20

* Handout Motor - $10 (paid at time of entry for buggy class and can be collected from race control on race day and not prior)

Recommended ESC for the brushed 540 class is the Hobbywing Brushed 60A ESC (HWAPWP1060). Competitors to supply ESC, but the club will have for sale for pickup at the event if ordered before 20th May and will have a limited supply also available on the day until stocks last.

The last event of the night is the Master of Madness, which is a Freestyle Competition. This will be a judged event by nominated judge/s scoring your best trick out of 3 attempts. This is open to any competitor in attendance and is optional to compete in.​​
