02/11/2025 – Round 5 of 2025 Hills Offroad RC Club Championship Race Report

Sunday 2^nd November club meeting was Round 5 of the 2025 Hills Offroad RC Club Championship. With 37 entries attending for racing with the track conditions being slippery with the weather that was experienced lately.

With the small entries, only the two stock classes were run with the Juniors battling it out within those classes and also the modified driver in attendance being combined also.

2wd Stock

With the largest field for the event, 21 drivers were shown the way with Chris Milton taking TQ for the finals.

The finals were a hard fought with very close racing and a couple of our junior drivers taking it to the established veterans of the class. Chris Milton went on to take the win on the day with 10^th, 1^st & 1st place finishes and also the Grand Slam (Win, TQ & Fastest Lap). Samuel Dal-Santo continued his improvement of recent times with an impressive second place for the day for the youngster with 1^st, 9^th & 4^th places. And the other youngster in the field, Cooper DeBono put together a third place with some very consistent results of 2^nd, 3^rd & 2^nd places in the finals.

4^th – Rondy Chan

4wd Stock

With 16 entries running on the day, Tony Smith put together a TQ run for the best starting place of the stock runners.

Again some great racing was seen in this class, which saw Tony Smith take the win overall in the finals with a clean sweep across all three finals and took the Grand Slam (Win, TQ & Fastest Lap). Cooper DeBono backed up his impressive form for the day with second place with 2^nd, 2^nd & 2^nd place finishes to also wrap up the 4WD Junior Club Championship with one round to go. Rondy Chan was third with 4^th, 3^rd & 3^rd places continuing his progress of finding speed to battle at the front.

5^th – Ron Curby

It was another great and competitive round of the 2025 Club Championship and the current leaders in the point score after round 5 for each class are:

With 5 out of the 6 classes still undecided going into the final round, it will be an exciting finale once the drivers’ worse round points are dropped. The final round of the club Championship is scheduled for Sunday 7^th December 2025, to cap off what was the biggest year for Hills Offroad RC with the IFMAR World Championships.
