2026 Hills Offroad RC Club Racing Calendar - Focussed on Bringing Back the Fun!

As we come to a close for 2025, below is our 2026 calendar for Hills Offroad RC Club Inc.

We have some exciting events in store for 2026, where the focus is getting back to club level racing. Bringing back the fun factor after a couple of years of intense competition with NSW Titles, Australian Titles which culminated in the Worlds Warm-up and 2025 IFMAR World Championships.

We will be back from the 18th January with our regular club racing every 3rd Sunday of each month. Then we head into the 2026 Team Cayote Hills Offroad RC Club Championships with 10 rounds to be held on the 1st Sunday of each month generally and further information will be released soon.

Then to bring back the fun of RC to Hills Offroad RC we will be running once a month on a Friday evening for vintage racing for a fun packed condensed format of racing focused on time bracket racing instead of focusing on outright winners and losers. Ruleset will be as simple as pre-1992 buggies, either 2WD/4WD with a 21.5 brushless or 540 brushed motors. The format will be 1 x 5 minute practice where top 5 fastest laps will grade you in your time bracket group, then we will head in to 3 x 5 minute heads-up style random grid races for each time bracket group. Depending how popular these nights get, we may change the grading/grouping to cater for particular groupings dependent on numbers but will monitor this from event to event and ruleset changes may be activated.

We have 3 special events scheduled for the 5th weekends on the calendar also being day/night meetings to take full advantage of the lighting installed this past year. Where the formats will generally be 8am-12pm practice, qualifying 12:30pm-4:30pm and finals running between 5pm-9pm. First up will be the Hudy Series event in March, 540 Buggy & Truck event in May, and the King of the Hills in November.

Again we will have a round of the NSW Racing League in July being round 5 of the series with 6 rounds in total this year across as many different tracks all being different surfaces to challenge the best that will go head-to-head again in 2026.

New for 2026, is the scheduling of 4 driver clinics throughout the year, aimed at assisting all drivers and crews with tips and tricks from car setup, preparation and driving from some of the best to race at our venue. Scheduled for Wednesday nights between 6pm-9pm, and these will be nights where you can take your racing to another level and the aim is to just improve.

We will finish off the year on 20th December with the final club meeting of the year where we will celebrate our Team Cayote 2026 Hills Offroad Club Champions and draw our members draw for 2 x 2WD buggies and 2 x 55" LED TV's.

We have also included in our calendar major events for both 1/10th & 1/8th Offroad to give you some insights in to what else is on for 2026 in both NSW and across the Nation.
