Hills Offroad RC Acknowledged in NSW Parliament

Hills Offroad RC are humbled to be again recognised in NSW Parliament for our efforts to host and promote the Campbelltown Hobbies 2024 RCRA 1/10th EP Offroad Australian Championship

Along with also acknowledging some of the winners of the event, some of our hard working committee members were also recognised.

Mr MARK HODGES (Castle Hill) (16:53): The Hills Offroad RC is the club that hosted the Australian Titles at the Fred Caterson Reserve on the October long weekend. The racing was just like Formula One but with smaller 1:10 radio-controlled cars. It was a wonderful weekend of racing with drivers, pit crews and spectators coming from across the nation and even a few from the United States of America. The two main classes, which are internationally recognised, are the two-wheel drive modified and the four-wheel drive modified. I recognise the winners in these two premier classes. The two-wheel drive modified winners were: first place, Spencer Rivkin from the United States; second place, Lachlan Donnelly from Australia; and third place, Chase Lemieux from the United States. In the four-wheel drive modified category, the first-place winner was Lachlan Donnelly from Australia, the second‑place winner was Spencer Rivkin from the United States and third place went to Ari Bakla from Australia. Conducting the Australian Titles requires months of preparation. I recognise and commend Hills Offroad RC, in particular Peter Couper, Ben Cribbin, Scott Hill and Chris Muffet, for organising a successful Australian Titles event.

We thank Mr Mark Hodges MP (State Member for Castle Hill) and the Hills Shire Council for their continuing support of our endeavour.
