***Important Information for all competitors of the 2025 1/10 EP OFFROAD PRE-WORLDS WARM-UP EVENT - SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA***

Thursday 3rd April -

  • Facility opens at 8am. Prior to setting up any tents, please see club officials for your designated area you have been assigned. All international/interstate competitors will have tents chairs/tables provided as required and as needed.

  • Attendance on Thursday is non-compulsory

  • Competitors meeting will start at 8:45 am to run through impound procedures and basic venue rules and procedures.

  • Impound will be open at 9am for competitor check-in.

  • Once checked-in, competitors can commence tyre gluing within impound.

  • Competitors do not need to attend Thursday as impound will be open for gluing Friday and at the beginning of Saturday/Sunday race days also.


General impound procedures -

  • Competitors are to supply their own wheels.

  • Competitors are to supply their own glue. Their will be limited supply of glue to purchase from the club for those without glue, or you can purchase at the Campbelltown Hobbies Trackside store also.

  • Only wheels, glue and tyre bands are to be brought in to the impound area by competitors or their nominated representative, nothing else. No exceptions.

  • The club will supply cleaning products for cleaning of tyres prior to gluing. Competitors will have the choice of Simple Green or Brake/Parts Cleaner. Both are widely used and proven by local competitors to clean mould release from tyres prior to gluing.

  • The club will supply shop towel within the impound area.

  • The club will supply every competitor with a microfibre cloth for use in impound. No other rags or clothes allowed to be brought in to the impound area for the duration of the event.

  • The club will supply every competitor with a permanent marker for the use of marking of their wheels/tyres.

  • The club will supply competitors with tyre stickers with their entrant number to be stuck on outside of wheel for controlled tyres.

  • No weighing or balancing of wheels and controlled tyres.

  • Once tyres are mounted and glued, tyres are to be placed in supplied entrants box and given back to impound officials for storage within the impound area.

  • For race days, competitors or their nominated representative are to bring cars and hand tools to impound area prior to each run and mount control tyres to vehicle within the impound area, Upon completion of the competitors run, the control tyres are to be removed from the vehicle and placed back in to their entrants box and stored within the impound area by officials.

  • Only Rear tyres for both classes and the 4WD Front tyres are controlled and under impound conditions for the entirety of the event. 2WD Front tyres are open and can be brought into the impound area already mounted to vehicle on race days.

  • For controlled practice, competitors may use non-impounded tyres.

  • Anything taken from the impound area will not be allowed to be retuned to the impound area. This includes any tyres and clothes. Cars are the exception along with hand tools for mounting/dismounting wheels to vehicles.

  • Control tyre cleaning only to be completed within the impound area. Club will supply Simple Green cleaning product, water, tubs, scrubbing brushes and compressed air for this purpose.


Friday 4th April (Controlled Practice) -

  • Controlled practice will be run as scheduled with 6 rounds of practice

  • Controlled practice is non-compulsory

  • Competitors meeting to be held at 7:45am

  • Competitors must marshal after each run at their nominated marshalling positions marked by numbered orange safety cones. Marshalling positions is as per car number given to competitor in the group.

  • Cars numbers are not to be run during controlled practice.

  • Competitors will be placed in a group for the first 3 rounds of practice randomly. Practice groups will then be reseeded based on competitors 3 fastest consecutive laps in a single run for the final 3 rounds of practice.

  • Seeding for qualifying will be based on a competitors fastest 3 laps in a single run from the last 3 rounds of practice held on Friday.


Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th April (Race Days) -

  • Drivers meeting at 07:30am each day

  • Competitors will be graded as per seeding result from last 3 rounds of practice on Friday. Regrading of groups will be performed after rounds 2 and 4 of qualifying./

  • IFMAR qualifying system to be used with best 3 out of 5 results counting towards a competitors finals starting position. Best 2 out of 3 finals results to count towards final finishing position for the event

  • Car numbers must be run during qualifying and racing.

  • Competitors must marshal after each run.

  • Marshalling positions will be based on competitors car number for that group.

  • If numbers do not permit for full grid of 10 cars, lower finals may be run with additional cars to aid in event timings and ensuring all marshalling pints are covered for each race. However, A finals will not exceed 10 cars.

  • General rules will be clarified during each days driver meeting.
