Team Associated are Coming

Writer: hillsoffroadhillsoffroad

Team Associated is the most popular chassis of choice of those drivers who are entered for the 2025 Warm-up event and they have a very strong line up coming.

Leading the charge is none other than 2 x World Champion Spencer Rivkin from the USA. In his own words he ‘travels the world chasing the dream’, the dream being another World Title in October? Spencer showed his raw pace and pure class when attending the 2024 Australian Championships last October to take the win in 2WD and runner-up in 4WD. He will most certainly be a favourite coming into the next event with that experience on his side. Compatriots Aydin Horne and Davey Batta will be joining Spencer on the trip down under and will no doubt get up to speed quickly to challenge all comers.

Next of the international drivers is Denmark’s sensation Marcus Kaerup, whom rose to prominence at the age of 10 taking his first Danish Title. Now aged 16, his tally is 7 x National Titles, 2 x European Championships and 3 x EOS Titles. With these accomplishments already under his belt at such a young age, Marcus is far from the peak of his powers, and many will be in awe seeing what he can do when he hits our shores.

Coming from the Land of Oz, this team have a very strong contingent of talent starting with one of our strongest being the in-form Lachlan Donnelly who comes off the back of taking his first Australian Modified Buggy Championship last October. He took out 4WD and was also runner up in 2WD. He knows the Hills Track like it is his own and will be one to watch and is fully capable of taking it to the internationals on his day.

12-time Australian Champion Chris Sturdy will be in the mix and whilst he hasn’t achieved the same level of result at the Hills Offroad track as he has at other venues, he shows on every visit he is finding more pace and surely won’t be far out of the action by the end of the weekend.

Second generation racer, Lachlan Munday is carving his own path whilst following in his father’s footsteps in becoming one of the elites in Australian racing. This well-rounded, consistent and fast driver is ready to make this event his breakout performance. And with the engineering expertise of Ray in his corner, it may well be now that it happens.

New recruit, Jordan Isergin will be keen to make his mark in the pecking order within the team. His fast-flowing style of racing suits the Hills Offroad layout well and we expect Jordan to be right there come time to battle for the podium positions along with Sydneysider Jarod Ment. Jarod knows his way around the layout after securing the NSW Title in 2WD at the track. Further success has seen him take the recently held SA Titles in 4WD.

Bolstering the ranks further are the likes of Scott Giles , Ben Panic and Phoenix Eggleton, whom have a vast array and differing experience but, any of which can cause an upset if it goes their way on the day.
