06/12/2025 – Round 6 of 2025 Hills Offroad RC Club Championship Race Report

Sunday 6th December club meeting was Round 6 of the 2025 Hills Offroad RC Club Championship. With 56 entries attending for racing with an overcast day and cool breeze making it perfect weather for racing and for some moisture to remain in the track over the day.

 


2wd Stock

With the largest field for the event, 22 drivers were shown the way with Nathaniel White taking TQ for the finals.


The finals were a hard fought with very close racing across the top 6 runners with Logan Rintoul coming through to take the win with the tie-break falling his way with 2nd, 3rd & 1st place finishes across the finals. Nathaniel White lost the tie-break for the win and came home second with 5th, 1st & 2nd places. Peter Wong came in third with 1st, 6th and 7th place finishes on the day.


2wd Stock Race Results

1st – Logan Rintoul

2nd – Nathaniel White (TQ)

3rd – Peter Wong

4th – Chris Milton

5th – Bradd Vercoe

Fastest Lap of the Day – Cooper DeBono – 30.112 seconds (A2 Final)

 


2wd Modified

With 16 very keen entries, it was Samuel Muffett laying down TQ runs to start the finals ahead of the rest.


Samuel Muffett went on to take the win with a sweep of all three and also the Grand Slam (Win, TQ & Fastest Lap). Sean Tilley was second with three 2nd places. And Caden Hill rounded out the podium for the day with three strong 3rd place finishes.

3rd – Caden Hill

4th – Nick Poole

5th – Howard Crooks

4wd Stock

With 15 entries running on the day, Chris Milton put together a TQ run for the best starting place of the stock wheeler runners.


Again, like the other stock field, there was some great racing across the class, which saw the top 6 again going wheel to wheel all day long which culminated with a three-way tie-on points for the win with the tie-break system having to decide the results of the podium finishing order. Logan Rintoul came out on top with 6th, 2nd & 1st place finishes across the finals. Bradd Vercoe was second with 2nd, 1st & 4th places. Scott Hill was third with the most consistent run of the top three drivers across the finals with 1st, 3rd & 2nd places.


4wd Stock Race Results

1st – Logan Rintoul

2nd – Bradd Vercoe

3rd – Scott Hill

4th – Nathaniel White

5th – Tony Smith

Fastest Lap of the Day – Tony Smith – 27.606 seconds (A3 Final)

 


4wd Modified

With 8 entries came to play and get some laps ahead of the next event with Samuel Muffett taking the TQ spot after qualifying.


The finals were a closer battle for all places with the top three drivers going big and getting plenty of air over the infield triple making the down ramp often across the finals. Samuel Muffett took the win on the day with another clean sweep of the finals, also grabbing his second Grand Slam across as many classes (Win, TQ & Fastest Lap). Sean Tilley was second with three 2nd places. And Caden Hill rounded out the podium for the day with three 3rd place finishes battling with the other two podium getters in each of the finals.


4wd Modified Race Results

3rd – Caden Hill

4th – Simon Shaw

5th – Blair Wallace

Fastest Lap of the Day – Samuel Muffett – 26.725 seconds (A1 Final)

 


Rung What You Brung

5 entries rolled up for some action with Simon Shaw taking the TQ after qualifying.


Simon Shaw went on to take the win on the day with three 1st place finishes. Fabian Diaz finished second with 2nd, 2nd & 3rd places. Graham Rockall finished in third place with 4th, 3rd & 2nd places in the finals.

It was another great and competitive round of the 2025 Club Championship with 3 of the 6 classes coming down to 20 odd points or less to decide our 2025 Club Champions. Congratulations for each class go to:

Club Membership for 2026 will open soon so you can be a part of the Team Cayote 2026 Club Championship and for your chance to win one of two 2WD Buggy kits and two Smart TV’s at the end of 2026. Every time you enter a club meeting as a member of the club, you have one entry in the draw to win one of these fabulous prizes.


Our next club meeting to finish off 2025 is scheduled for Sunday 21st December, where we will be drawing the two 2WD Buggy kits and presenting the 2025 Club Championship winners.
